RS_Fentress,-Jeannie_006Jeanie Fentress is a woman called by God to speak forth His Word in these last days with signs following. She has given herself to be led by the Holy Spirit through the manifestation of the spiritual gifts as described in First Corinthians, chapter 12. The power of His anointing goes forth through her ministry bringing about healing and deliverance, words of wisdom and knowledge, the working of miracles, and the prophetic gifts.

The desire of Jeanie ’ s heart as a child was to be a missionary, but life ’ s circumstances got in the way. Years later as a young wife and mother, she loved the Lord and became active in the Baptist church as a Sunday school teacher and choir member.

To further her education, Jeanie enrolled in college. It was in one of these classes where she met a lady who also loved the Lord. That lady invited her to a home Bible study and prayer meeting. When Jeanie attended that meeting the first time, she was surprised to hear those people praying in different languages. She wasn ’ t sure what was going on! Then later, her friend explained to her about the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as was found in Acts. Jeanie had never heard of such a thing or seen it before, but once she found out about that experience in God ’ s Word, she wanted to know more! So the next week she went back to that home prayer meeting and asked to receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit — and she did! That experience happened in October, 1967.

That was the beginning of Jeanie ’ s new experience with the Lord. Receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit caused an awakening within her to the fullness of God ’ s Word. From then on, His Word meant so much more to her, and she became so hungry for all He desired her to have.

Within a few years, Jeanie was led into a teaching ministry. In 1977 she started a radio ministry, which lasted for six and one-half years. She has also had two other radio programs throughout her ministry. In 1978 she became licensed with World Ministry Fellowship and began holding a weekly Bible study/ service, which continues to this day.

Together with her husband, Bill, a businessman, she makes her home in Shreveport, where they raised a daughter and two sons, and now have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Their oldest son is also an ordained minister a graduate of Christ for the Nations in Dallas.

Jeanie was ordained in 1982 by Christian Center Church of Shreveport, where she worked in an associate pastoral role until July of 1995. At that time she went to work as Associate Pastor of Agape Family Church in Marshall, Texas. In January of 1997 Bill and Jeanie decided against a permanent move to Marshall and began to plan for establishing their own ministry in Shreveport. The non-profit teaching ministry was established in 1997 and is known as Teaching the Living Christ Ministry (TLC).

As of this time, the thirty plus years of weekly Bible studies/ services held at Harvest Time Church, 727 Flournoy Lucas Rd. in Shreveport and special small classes which are held at the TLC office, 9435 Mansfield Rd., suite 6-A, are the focal point of Jeanie ’ s teaching and counseling ministry. Jeanie has also ministered in other churches, locally and throughout the region and certain states as well. Jeanie has a good reputation and fellowship with many local churches, the purpose of her teaching ministry being to equip and establish the Body of Christ.

In the past few years Jeanie has earned her Bachelor and Master Degrees in Biblical Studies and in 2005 Jeanie completed her Doctorate in Ministry. Her degrees are from Friends International Christian University in Merced, California. In July of 2005 Jeanie and Bill flew to California for her graduation exercises. Jeanie also has received a Certificate of Ordination from FICU as a Diplomat with the International Association of Christian Clinical Counselors with all rights and privileges as of October, 2002.

The continuing desire for TLC (Teaching the Living Christ) Ministry, is to fully equip the saints so they can do the work of ministering to and building up Christ ’ s body…His Church; also, to do its part to unify and bring believers together in a true fellowship of love and forgiveness, breaking down walls between us to build strong relationships and to grow into the fullness of Christ.
